Bridging advanced bioscience and intellectual property
Dr. Christian Sigloch is part of the biotechnology practice group and is currently training to become a German and European Patent Attorney. He focuses on patent prosecution and assists in opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office (EPO).
Christian studied Molecular Medicine at the University of Freiburg (B. Sc.) and at Imperial College London (M. Sc.). During his PhD studies in Molecular Medicine in Freiburg, he investigated in living vertebrates how the oscillating protein expression of a gene coordinates the maintenance and differentiation of neural stem cells.
He possesses extensive technical expertise spanning various areas of modern bioscience. In his research career, he has specialized in the precise editing of the genome, the use of advanced microscopy techniques and the analysis of complex scientific data.
Christian enjoys spending his free time hiking or skiing in the mountains.
