Ferdinand Krieter is a physicist with particular experience in data science, software development, and detector technologies. He applies his quick grasp of abstract concepts and strong technical interest to a wide range of digital and electronic technologies. By combining patent law with his strong scientific background, he has developed an effective and structured approach to quickly comprehend even highly complex inventions.
Before joining HOFFMANN EITLE, Ferdinand completed his studies of physics with a master’s and a doctoral degree from the Ludwig Maximilians University (LMU) of Munich. In his research projects, he participated in the search for Supersymmetry and other exotic particles at the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. His work included analyzing petabyte-scale datasets using modern statistical analysis techniques and collaboratively developing the software necessary for processing the data on worldwide distributed computing systems.
Having worked in the multinational environment of CERN for many years and living in Geneva for an extended period of time, Ferdinand thoroughly enjoys working with people from all around the world.
In his free time, Ferdinand likes cooking for friends and riding (or repairing) his old-timer scooter.
