Marko Dragosavac is a British and European Patent Attorney and a partner in HOFFMANN EITLE’s Electrical Engineering and Digital Technologies practice group.

Using his grounding in physics and affinity for learning and problem-solving, he enjoys working closely with his start-up and SME clients at all levels, from understanding their evolving business interests and advising on patent strategies to serve these, to meeting with engineers to explore the details of their inventions when preparing patent applications.  Over the years, Marko has handled inventions in a wide range of technical areas, including power electronics, telecommunications, and semiconductor and automotive technologies. His more recent practice has focussed on MedTech, especially ophthalmology, and software-related inventions, including those based on machine learning. Marko has gained extensive experience in examination, opposition and appeal proceedings before the EPO, and developing multinational patent portfolios by coordinating prosecution before the IP5 offices and others.

Marko studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, specialising in experimental and theoretical physics, and graduating with M.A. and M.Sci. first class honours degrees. He obtained a Ph.D. in semiconductor physics at the Cavendish Laboratory of the University of Cambridge, undertaking experimental studies of electron transport in ultrathin oxide silicon MOSFETs, in collaboration with IBM Research.  Marko was a postdoctoral Research Associate at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, USA, before joining HOFFMANN EITLE in 2006.

Outside the office, Marko enjoys spending time with his young family.
