A theoretical physicist by education, Maximilian Keck applies his capability to precisely grasp concepts on a wide range of technologies, spanning both traditional fields such as cellular networks, telecommunications, electronics and physics in general but also more recent topics such as software, artificial intelligence and bioinformatics. His work covers prosecution and opposition at the EPO and GPTO, support in opinion work as well as infringement and nullity proceedings and further patent drafting.

Having done his PhD abroad in an international environment, Max has gained a taste for interacting with different cultures and enjoys connecting with the client on a direct level.

Prior to joining HOFFMANN EITLE in 2018, Max studied Physics at the University of Ulm and graduated with research on quantum optimal control and quantum optics and completed his doctoral thesis at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy exploring the capabilities of thermodynamics at the quantum level, engineered many-body quantum systems and quantum batteries.

Outside of work, Max enjoys refereeing international competitions in fencing.
